Travian is a game where you build a village.

You start by building resource fields, wheat, Iron, Clay and wood, this ensures you have enough supplies to build other parts of the village, barracks to train soldiers, stables to train mounted troops, and a siege workshop to built catapults and battering rams.

There are other building you can build, granary to hold wheat and warehouses to hold the other resources as well as hero mansions, residences and a palace, these are just a few of the building that all have different uses.

Travian is a fun game to play if you are in a good alliance, an alliance being a group of people with the same aim in the game, normally to win but some just want to have fun.

You really need to start early in the server to stand a good chance of winning or getting developed before other players, watch this site for updates when new servers are starting.

The aim of the game is to destroy others, make people leave the game because you have made life for them unpleasant, its not a very friendly game but then is war a friendly thing in real life, it is a war game and you don't enter into it expecting to have tea parties with the vicar.
